Dr. Hari Kannam is an award-winning, board-certified cardiologist and medical instructor whose expertise spans across several cardiac care areas. His focus areas include Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, 2D Doppler Echocardiography, Transthoracic & Transesophageal Echocardiography, Clinical Cardiology, Stress Testing, and Holter Monitoring.
Dr. Kannam earned his medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College, India in 1998. After completing his Masters in Human Nutrition at Eastern Michigan University, MI, he joined Westchester Medical Center, NY, to pursue his Residency in Internal medicine. Then, Dr. Kannam continued his practice at Westchester Medical Center as Clinical Instructor of Medicine and subsequently as Chief Medical Resident. Between 2005 and 2009, Dr. Kannam obtained thee fellowships – one each in Cardiology, Chief Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology.
As an ardent researcher, he has published several papers, and has also been co-investigator and sponsor of multiple clinical trials over the years. His exemplary work and his contribution to his field have earned him memberships of multiple societies, including the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Presently, Dr. Kannam is one of the top cardiologists to practice out of Inverness, FL, and Crystal River, FL. He is currently associated with Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Florida Hospital North Pinellas, Citrus Memorial Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic Florida Hospital.
